The Caves is the second chapter of Rebirth. The Caves' unlockable variants are the CatacombsCatacombs and the (except in Rebirth)Flooded CavesFlooded Caves. It features more decayed enemies than the first chapter, with the main theme being worms and boils.

(in Repentance) After A Secret Exit A Secret Exit is unlocked, a boarded door similar to the one leading to a Bedroom will appear in this floor's Boss RoomBoss Room upon defeating the boss, leading to the MinesMines / AshpitAshpit. This door, like a Bedroom, requires two bombs to be opened. Unlike Angel RoomAngel Rooms and Devil RoomDevil Rooms, this door never disappears.
