Pokey Mans is Challenge #33. You start with 
Friendly Ball and 
Mom's Eyeshadow with the objective being to kill Isaac (Boss).
Difficulty
Some spawns from the Friendly Ball can cause unavoidable damage in certain rooms. Hazards or enemies can be hidden by larger allies or if many are in a group.
Strategy
- The
Friendly Ball works differently in this challenge, summoning a random charmed enemy with each use, without the need to catch any. - As soon as a charmed friend dies, the Friendly Ball instantly recharges and should be used multiple times per room.
- Any monster designed to spawn monsters will have the spawned monster friendly towards Isaac and count towards recharging the Friendly Ball. Example: The spider nub spawns friendly spiders.
- However, monsters that explode into other monsters will not have their replacements friendly.
- Some monsters will die as soon as they are spawned, leaving behind unfriendly replacements.
- The Roundy familiar (the fat worm that breaks through the ground and shoots Ipecac tears) is incredibly useful as you can use it to break objects and gain access to secret rooms.
- Do not leave a room before the Friendly Ball has spawned its monster. Your charges will be consumed and no monster will die to replenish the charges. You will have to gain charges the old fashioned way.
- While your own bombs won't damage the spawned monster, certain items (like Contagion) will.
- A charmed Vis is very useful, as its Brimstone beam does enormous damage, and can be helpful with bosses.
- Since the spiked floor in a sacrifice room can hurt flying enemies, they can be used to cycle through the less useful monsters received from the ball.
- However, sacrifice rooms can also be very dangerous, as monsters can kill themselves on the spikes faster than they can be replaced.
- Spear Of Destiny is not recommended, as it will also kill the charmed monsters spawned from the Friendly Ball.
{{Bug| If multiple golden flies have spawned, exiting and rejoining the game will triple or quadruple the amount of golden flies. Though doesn't seem to damage any enemies.
