This article is about the monster. For co-op babies, see Co-op. For items that follow Isaac, see Familiar.

Babies are monsters encountered in Error: The given stage ("The Depths") does not exist. and Error: The given stage ("The Womb") does not exist..

Babies slowly float towards Isaac, occasionally shooting a single blood shot. They can also teleport to anywhere in the room, occasionally close to Isaac. They usually teleport after a shot, the only random element is the shooting, and they have no specific cue to indicate incoming attacks.

Variants

Angelic Baby

The Angelic Baby will sometimes replace the regular Baby. They can be found primarily in the Cathedral.

Instead of firing one shot, the Angelic Baby fires 3 blood shots at Isaac in a spread. They also teleport more often, usually near Isaac.

Imp

(except in Rebirth)

Imps slowly float towards Isaac, occasionally firing 5 blood shots at Isaac in quick succession. They also randomly teleport around the room. Imps can sometimes appear behind the statue in the Devil Room, which may catch players off guard. Like Fat Bats, they try to avoid Isaac's shots, making it difficult to hit them sometimes.

Bugs

Bug Bug! If a Baby, Angelic Baby or Imp tries to shoot Isaac at the same time as it teleports, their shots will be fired without their corresponding animation.
Bug Bug! (except in Rebirth) If an Imp is stunned, feared, or shrunken, it will still attack Isaac while running away from him.
