::It works, but it's not really a particular "synergy": that is exactly the point of gulp/smelter that you get the trinket permanently without having to keep it in a slot. --[[User:Frionil|Frionil]] ([[User talk:Frionil|talk]]) 02:19, 20 November 2020 (UTC)

Black Hearts[edit source]

Hey - bit of a possibility around this item, want to see if someone can confirm this: Black hearts + this trinket = Damage up. I'll try to get a run with this going, but if someone else finds a seed for it first, let me know. --Anon

It increased dmg for me on a floor with curse of darkness (Necropolis 2, Isaac). I had 2 1/2 black hearts as well. Unfortunately I took Cicket's head and couldn't see it change later on (maxed out). Seed: 8Z8W E2WB --Anon

I don't think it does with black hearts. 99M2 BWKX, Lazarus, Greed Mode. The demon bum gives out the feather, and then ceremonial robes. My damage is 3 in the menu, but I have the robes and three soul hearts. --128.205.70.47 00:33, 19 December 2015 (UTC)

I've confirmed using Cheat Engine that black hearts do not increase Isaac's damage with the Black Feather. --Zamie (talk) 15:57, 19 December 2015 (UTC)

Synergy with Smelter/Gulp pill?[edit source]

If one of these trinkets is swallowed with Gulp or Smelter, does it still count as possessing the trinket or is it considered deleted? SirMoogle (talk) 00:14, 20 November 2020 (UTC)

It works, but it's not really a particular "synergy": that is exactly the point of gulp/smelter that you get the trinket permanently without having to keep it in a slot. --Frionil (talk) 02:19, 20 November 2020 (UTC)
