Speculation on what this does[]
Since no one seems to know what this trinket does yet, I'd guess it has something to do with a red equals sign being a symbol for supporting gay marriage and other LGBT rights. No idea how that would translate to an in-game item, though, as it hasn't seemed to do anything when I was using it. -- User:Varler
Found something[]
It has to be confirmed, but when I picked up a coin, all pickup on the room were doubled : key became key ring and coin 1 + 1 free coin. It does not proc everytime (for obvious reasons). -- Anon
Greed Mode bug[]
Upon taking <3 while in the shop in Greed Mode, the key and red heart that were for sale disappeared and were replaced with their double versions. They were able to be picked up for free, but the key and heart in the shop had disappeared and were no longer for sale.
This would be bad if you really needed to buy lots of consumables in the shop for some reason, like having a Donation Machine, so you might want to be careful with taking Equality! in Greed Mode in certain cases. -- User:Varler
Are we sure the info we have listed is correct?[]
It's currently listed as a chance for a pickup to become its doubled version, but I didn't notice an increase in doubled items when I had Equality. I did notice an unusual amount of pairs of two seperate, identical pickups, however. Yinyang107 (talk) 00:32, 10 January 2017 (UTC)

Numbers of pickups?[]
I think it has to do something with numbers of coins/bombs/keys you have. For example, one day I picked up this trinket when I had 4 coins, 5 bombs, and 5 keys. Picking up a penny made every pickup 1+1 version. It worked on Greed Mode coins as well. Sorry if I'm totally wrong. -- User:Pptierr

- If keys, bombs or red hearts are doubled in a shop, they become free.
I've tried various things and nothing makes anything free in the shop. Eiou (talk)
- The way I checked: start an Isaac run, spend your starting bomb, give yourself Equality. You're now at 0, 0, 0 keys/bombs/coins and equality is active. Enter any shop, I just used goto s.shop.x where x is a valid subtype number; each shop would turn any for-sale keys, bombs and hearts into doubles that became free pickups.
