Rename to Collectibles, add Items page[edit source]

I think this page should be renamed to Collectibles, and a new Items page be created that contains links to collectibles, trinkets, and pickups, in a similar style to the Pickups page. I think to new players it might limit confusion, they're going to see everything they can pick up as an item, and Collectibles match more to what they're called ingame. --piber20 (talk) 05:58, 2 February 2019 (UTC)

Could you provide an example of where they're called Collectibles in-game? As far as I know, we stuck with the "Items" label because that's the name of the table in Stats in the main menu. --JokerPixel (talk) 17:38, 3 February 2019 (UTC)

Extra categorisation?[edit source]

Maybe add an extra category column, describing (in one or two words) the item's appearance, e.g. ‘cross’, ‘box’, ‘head’, ‘key’? It would provide some assistance in looking up an item by appearance, particularly useful when you don't know whether to pick it up. 178.238.159.109 16:14, 30 April 2019 (UTC)

I had considered doing something similar to that, but that can lead to a lot of ambiguity or difficulty in boiling down an item to just one word. Recently, we implemented a ton of new navigator boxes at the bottom of a lot of pages which should allow users to find similar items in case they didn't find the right one on the first try. If you think this can be improved on, please let us know. --JokerPixel (talk) 04:57, 1 May 2019 (UTC)

Why isn't A Pony fixed[edit source]

It's easy to fix you just remove the | in the name between the brackets and the word Why hasn't anyone realized this

Unfortunately it's not quite that simple, these errors are deep in the database system used by the wiki which was glitched during migration from Gamepedia's platform to United Community Platform and it's better to not try bandaid fixes that might cause more trouble in the long run than they'd solve. We're still waiting on the backend support to fix the underlying problem. --Frionil (talk) 18:22, 12 October 2020 (UTC)

ah ok i don't really understand the creation of wikis sorry :)

No problem, this is a pretty unexpected and luckily rare situation, sorry for the inconvenience. Frionil (talk) 14:59, 13 October 2020 (UTC)
