Having some ways to generate flies and spiders on demand is a GREAT way to progress, since they use your naturally high damage, and isn't affected by the penalty. (not to mention being a much easier way to hit fast targets) Rotten Baby is perfect for this since once it locks onto a target it'll continue spawning flies until the target's down or breaks the lock, Sissy Longlegs also works well, automatically spawning spiders without you needing to hold down attack and not needing to target, but still needing to lure enemies to the spiders, along with being affected by ground obstacles. 101.100.162.120
Made note about piercing shots and multi-d baby[]
I don't know about all piercing shots, but Death's Touch does not cause shots through an enemy to count as misses. I had two runs with it, and it didn't cause a problem either time. In fact, the increased shot size made the second run downright leisurely. No problem hitting enemys with that. On the other hand, the duplicate shots from the Multidimensional Baby DID count as my shots, and thus caused a big problem. Rubber Cement is Dangerous[]
While this does protect you from walls and such if it hits an enemy at any time, hitting poop does not count as an enemy with Rubber Cement. So basically, if the only thing you hit is poop (and in this game, thats often required to move through areas) you take damage. Clockiel (talk) 17:53, 24 February 2016 (UTC)

Sad bombs don't deal damage to you due to misses anymore.
Incubus[]
I'm not sure since when, but shots fired by Incubus WILL damage you.
New Unlock Condition:[]
I already had completed the unlock conditions, but this didn't unlock for me until I had also Defeated Mom's heart 11 times.
