I tried to enter some PC seeds I found on a couple of item pages I found on this wiki on my PS4. Those seeds seems to work just fine for me, with the expected result. So the PC and PS4 seems to share the same seeds anyway. --Ragowit (talk) 22:12, 19 November 2014 (UTC)
- Tried a VITA seed I found on the Book of Revelations page on my PS4. It took me to a map with Doctor's Remote instead. Just to be safe so did I download the game to my VITA and tried the seed one more time, and again it was not the book but the remote. Conclusion: All seeds are the same, regardless of platform. --Ragowit (talk) 23:02, 19 November 2014 (UTC)
Seed Exploit[edit source]
Not seen anyone else mention this, so I will. If you enter a seed but don't start the run, go back to the title screen, then pick your file again and start a run with any character, you will get the entered seed, but it will not count as a "seeded" run. Because the game considers it a normal run, achievements can still be earned. This means that a particularly good seed can be used for easy unlocks. Tested on PC only, and may eventually get patched out, but handy for now.
Fixed Seeds[edit source]
Someone should revise the Fixed Seeds.
"ZELF THZF" has two item rooms, two boss rooms, and a devil room on the first floor.
"HAFD SVKX" has the Curse of the Lost only for the first floor, which is not special at all.
"YSB4 H4B8" has not a permanent Curse of the Lost, only for the first two floors. And because its a normal seed, of course the loading screen is always the same. Not special.
"NV0W ZTSQ" What is so special about a Curse of the Darkness? I had that a hundred times.
"0R8M M2L0" The description is wrong, the seed is just a normal seed and not special.
In my opinion this whole "Fixed Seeds" section should be removed. Actually every seed is a fixed seed and has (in most cases) some interesting characteristics. I would just leave ISAAAACE, XXXXXXZX and the other ones spoken by the Future Telling Machine (or put them in the Trivia) because they are really special.
30M1N1TS is another special seed. Basically it gives you a hard timer of 30 minutes to beat the game. At 29:15 a ticking begins and when the game timer reaches 30 minutes, you take half a heart of damage every second (a full heart in the Womb/Utero onwards without The Wafer). This continues until the player beats the game or dies. --184.108.40.206 19:19, 30 January 2015 (UTC)
I wanted to edit but for some reason I can't, but that thing about V not being accepted there is clearly not true, because both T0PH EAVY and A1VF TSRN are valid seeds 220.127.116.11 00:49, 27 December 2015 (UTC)
Basement seed game can be beaten[edit source]
A run with the BASE MENT seed CAN be beaten, using sacrifice rooms to go in the Dark Room and beat the Lamb.
PAS1F1SM Mega Satan[edit source]
Mega Satan will not be affected by the life drain applied to the bosses in the PAC1FISM seed. The bosses he spawns are but not Mega Satan himself.
'no trophies' mark[edit source]
Maybe change "[...] a seed will cause the 'no trophies' mark to appear." to "[...] a seed will cause the 'no trophies' mark to appear." This will make it extra clear what those icons in the Description column mean. --18.104.22.168 16:30, 16 February 2016 (UTC)
Blue Womb bug[edit source]
When i used the "NONE TVRN" seed, and when i deafeated It Lives!,then the door to the Blue Womb is open, then the loading screen (or when Isaac dream) and finished, there's no doors. The Shop disappear, the Treasure Rooms too and the door to fight Hush, making it a dead end.So guys,if you want go to the Blue Womb, don't enable the seed,or else you get stuck. --ShadowRadical 21:13 27 October 2016 (UTC)
