Trinkets are a kind of collectible that provide passive bonuses.

Trinkets have a designated slot. Picking them up won't interfere with other items (such as activated items, cards, runes, or pills).
Only one trinket can be held at a time. Mom's Purse and Belly Button allow two trinkets to be held at once, but not two of the same trinket.
- If a trinket is absorbed by Smelter, Marbles, or Gulp!, a copy can be picked up, but it has no additional effect.
It is possible to drop a trinket by holding down the key or button bound to "Drop" function for three seconds. (Doing this is not possible with the Error: The given collectible ("Tick") does not exist..)
While held, Mom's Box doubles the effect of most trinkets.
There are 60 trinkets available in Rebirth, 29 in Afterbirth, and 35 in Afterbirth † for a total of 124.
