Respect towards other users[]

Hey there, thank you for your efforts against vandalism. It is much appreciated. Although I must warn you that your edit summary (gtfo out of here you guy) is unacceptable if you're going to say something at all, you should instead be constructive about it, say why it was a bad edit. This user might not have known what they were doing, it's important to always assume good faith, and even if they did, it still would not qualify this kind of behavior. I strongly advise you to read Dealing with trolls and vandals. In short: when dealing with a vandal/troll, the best thing to do is to not react, if you do you are giving them exactly what they want and they might come back for more. Thank you again for your contributions, be careful in the future. MannedTooth (talk) 15:29, 31 December 2018 (UTC)

I completely agree with what you've said. I just had a bad day when I wrote that and it's hard for me to see the benefit of anonymous users when so often they just vandalize or troll; however, I will keep this in mind in the future. Thank you for your time. -Sirtimmothybrentwood 23:40, 3 January 2019 (UTC).
Thank you for understanding, bad days (and mistakes) happen to all of us. Also, as stated on Don't bite the newcomers,
Understand that newcomers are both needed by and of value to the community. By empowering newcomers, we improve the diversity of knowledge, opinions, and ideas, enhancing the wiki's value and preserving its neutrality and integrity as a resource.
So while it is true that vandals/trolls will be using anonymous "accounts" to commit their acts, we should generally be happy to see a new face. :) MannedTooth (talk) 05:33, 5 January 2019 (UTC)

Sinus infection[]

Hi :) Regarding the spawning of Sinus Infection in Basement 1 during seed AG1F 94KV, edit you've undone, well... I was right. Obviously, Normal mode. --LordRemiem (talk) 20:53, 4 March 2019 (UTC)

Hey there! I noticed that your seed submission was removed, and the reason given was that Sinus Infection "wasn't on the first floor". Now, I tested out the seed, and while I'm unsure why the aforementioned reason was given, I didn't restore your seed because I didn't get Sinus Infection. Every time I tried the seed, on both modes, I got Collectible Undefined iconUndefined. We have a set of rules concerning the addition of seeds to a page. You can find them here. Specifically, I'm assuming that you haven't unlocked all items, which is a requirement for posting seeds. If you have met all the required criteria, please let me know and we can talk, but unfortunately those rules do have to be enforced to ensure only good seeds are posted on each page. --JokerPixel (talk) 22:44, 4 March 2019 (UTC)
Specifically, I'm assuming that you haven't unlocked all items
That's it. I started playing about a week ago, and sincerely I didn't know about this rule... and that this fact could affect items found.
I ask sorry and thank you for your patience :) --LordRemiem (talk) 23:37, 4 March 2019 (UTC)
No problem! The way it works is that all seeds have constant items, but if an item that you haven't unlocked would be generated by a seed, it instead consistently picks a different item. So a lot of people have the impression that if they get a certain item on a seed, that seed must be good for that item, but unless they have unlocked everything, there's no way to verify its accuracy.
P.S. Welcome to the Binding of Isaac! Here's hoping you find it as fun as we all do. If you need anything, post it in the most relevant talk page, or join our Discord!
P.P.S. I will likely be removing the screencap you uploaded as it's not strictly relevant to the Wiki. I'll give you 24 hours or so just in case for whatever reason you want to download it and keep it. --JokerPixel (talk) 05:26, 5 March 2019 (UTC)
I removed the seed because you (Lord Remiem) said that that seed spawned Sinus Infection in Necropolis because another rule with posting seeds is that they should be in the first or second floor of the run. Besides that Joker has said everything that needs to be said. --Sirtimmothybrentwood 18:46, 5 March 2019 (UTC).

How is this obvious?[]

[1] I fail to see how this is obvious. I expected it to be a regular brown poop. 68.192.192.128 20:11, 9 August 2019 (UTC).

Cause the case with meconium and other items that affect poop. --Sirtimmothybrentwood 20:56, 14 August 2019 (UTC).

Mom's Knife + Chocolate Milk[]

Ay man I wanted to ask, why'd you delete the synergy from the Mom's Knife page? People usually take the synergy as a -1 Tear delay, and although the real info (-20% Tear delay) is located on Chocolate Milk's page, it can still do well in Mom's Knife page as well for the above reason. --EddiePalu (talk) 20:36, 28 October 2019 (UTC)

I didn't notice that it had no effect on damage, so I thought it was obvious. Since I took another look, I'm moving it to interactions. --Sirtimmothybrentwood 17:20, 30 October 2019 (UTC).

Fly Glitch[]

Hi, Do you think possibly that my game is broken since I have seen this fly glitch multiple times already? (Usually on hard mode) It might be a lag or an unpatched error where the game is confused because the gaper is killed but not actually killed at the same time. Thanks --Npgprezlrobo827 22:12, 13 January 2020 (UTC).

So the glitch is just where a gaper is killed but not killed? I've never experienced that before. I'm assuming its a bug that needs to be ironed out by the devs. Hopefully rep will fix it.

--Sirtimmothybrentwood 02:16, 14 January 2020 (UTC).

Sorry for writing this wrong. The Eternal fly turns into a normal fly but still rotates the pacer/gusher.

--Npgprezlrobo827 04:27, 16 January 2020 (UTC).

I don't understand. If you kill the enemy its attached to it turns into a normal fly and tries to damage you. Is that the bug? Or am I missing something? --Sirtimmothybrentwood 06:26, 16 January 2020 (UTC).
when you kill the enemy its attached to (Preferably a gaper or frowning gaper because they can turn into gushers/pacers) it turns into an attack fly which still follows an orbital path (Wider Orbit) around the former gaper (gusher/pacer). --Npgprezlrobo827 11:55, 16 January 2020 (UTC).
FWIW I've seen this also happen with Globins, so it definitely exists. Frionil (talk) 16:11, 16 January 2020 (UTC)
Am I still allowed to put the information back on the page? --Npgprezlrobo827 21:26, 16 January 2020 (UTC).

Flat Stone + Tech Zero[]

Here is the info; must have been a glitch but the flat stone still limits tech zero since there can only be one connection between tears. (Only the two closest tears to Isaac connect the rest do not connect with electricity) --Npgprezlrobo827 13:13, 18 January 2020 (UTC).

I mean that is true if you have just those two items but if you get items that allow Isaac to fire more tears, the edit seems kinda pointless in my opinion. --Sirtimmothybrentwood 19:20, January 18 2020 (UTC).
So I did more testing and it turns out for some reason only the two most recently fired tears connect with electricity. Idk why this is the case but thanks for pointing it out I wouldn't have noticed otherwise. --Sirtimmothybrentwood 06:01, 23 January 2020 (UTC).
