The Para-Bite is a Monster that can be encountered in The Womb or Utero. It will move around the room until Isaac appears in its line of sight, prompting it to charge towards him. They're also able to move underground and pop up in different location, although they cannot spawn right under Isaac.
Variations
Cod Worm
Cod Worms are a variation of the Para-Bite that can be found in the Womb and Utero. It stays in a shell and will spew blood if shot at. After some time, it will reveal itself and become vulnerable to attacks.
Notes
- If a Cod Worm is killed before enemies finish spawning, the Cod Worm will die, even in its invincible form.

Scarred Para-Bite
Scarred Para-Bites behave similarly to regular Para-Bites and occasionally fire a short-ranged blood shot towards Isaac.
